OEWG at OKCon

The Open Education Working Group will be officially launched next week at OKCon. OKCon is the world's leading open data and open knowledge conference, running since 2005. Tickets for the conference are still available. The LinkedUp Project (our supporting project) will be initiating an Open Education Panel session entitled The facets of open education. Resources, data and culture. The session will take place on Tuesday 17 September and looks at the various aspects of open education:
Open data is data that can be freely used, reused and redistributed by anyone. Many institutes offer Open Educational Resources (OER) online. Education can benefit highly from open and linked data approaches.The panel session will be moderated by Doug Belshaw, Badges & Skills Lead, Mozilla Foundation Panel members:
